Consumer Electronics in Home Healthcare Services

Philips Home Monitoring is a Home Healthcare services company and with its flagship Lifeline Personal Response Service provides home monitoring services enabled by devices in the home. Devices are a key part of the service delivery, but not always the star of the show. Speakers will talk about unique opportunities for Consumer Electronics in the area of Remote and Home Healthcare and interesting perspectives on how Philips is bridging the gap between medical devices and consumer electronics. Speakers will discuss the Philips approach to developing products and some of the challenges it faces.

The program starts at 7:00 with coffee and snacks being served with time for networking following the program.

Speakers will include Michael Bellomo Director of Program Management, International along with other senior members of the technical staff. Mr. Bellomo has been with Philips for 20 years. He has BSME from the University of Massachusetts and MBA from Babson College and is an IEEE member. He has been working in the field of consumer electronics specializing in Healthcare since 1992 holding various positions in Engineering and Engineering Management including his last position as Director of Engineering. In his current role he is focusing on expanding the Home Monitoring business into new international markets and developing new innovations specific to Japan.
