About the Conference
The sixth in the series of IEEE Conferences on
Technologies for Homeland Security, organized by the Homeland Security
Committee of the IEEE Boston Section, will continue to blend
state-of-the-art science and advanced technology development with
operational expertise and requirements to enhance the security and
efficiency of transportation systems. The Conference’s goal is to foster
the development and the successful operational deployment of innovative
solutions for secure and efficient transportation operations. The specific
focus is on the application of advanced sensors for screening personnel,
baggage and cargo for WMD materials, components and other contraband
materials and objects. The conference will feature:

over 46 scientific and technical papers and poster
presentations on advanced sensors for screening personnel, baggage and
cargo for WMD materials, components and other contraband materials and
objects,
-
business panel on how to do business with the
government and large system integrators.
The Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers
(IEEE), Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), and the Volpe National
Transportation Systems Center (The Volpe Center) are primary organizers
for this event.
Attendees
Attendees include technology innovators, industry
professionals, government officials, system integrators and business
development professionals involved with the transportation sector of
homeland security marketplace.
Format and Speakers
The format for this event will be a one-day
conference with a second day devoted to special workshops/special sessions. The program
includes government and industry keynote speakers, concurrent technical
