This presentation will review the definition and calculation of Electric Power Distribution Reliability Indices as defined in IEEE Std. 1366

John Teixeira received a B.S.E.E. degree from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, and a Graduate Certificate and M.S. degree in power system management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA.

He is currently a Principal Specialist in National Grid’s Learning and Development Academy in Millbury, Massachusetts. He has been employed at National Grid, and its predecessor company, New England Electric System, since 1982. During that time, he has held various positions in the Engineering and Operating functions.

Mr. Teixeira is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts and a senior member of the IEEE Power & Energy Society.
